The trailer capitalises on franchise nostalgia by using footage from the 1996 film Mission: Impossible, directed by Brian De Palma, which started it all. “No single deed can define our existence. Our lives are a culmination of our decisions. “Everything you were and did has led to this,” says a voice-over in the teaser. Even better, after all the thrilling action scenes, Ethan says, “I need you to trust me one last time.” Cue the tears for supporters.
